A Little Background:
Javascript itself has long been a very useful tool, but writing cross-browser interactive code was often time consuming, and therefore expensive. The jQuery library is essentially a set of shortcuts enabling rapid development across all browser platforms. The animations and effects which can be achieved with jQuery also allow development on devices which do not support Adobe's Flash technology.
Examples:
- Green Dog Creative - This client is a skilled graphic designer, providing us with their own artwork in Photoshop format we produced an animated brochure website within a short timescale.
- Altered Imij - This client also provided their own graphics in PSD format, based on a brief phone call we produced the animated website to their specification. The website was constructed in such a way that search engines are still able to spider all pages of the site.
- Host-It Interactive Domain Checker - This domain checker application uses jQuery and AJAX to provide fast results without having to continually reload the web page.
- International Leather Products - We wanted to create something different for this customer, to stand out among the crowded designer leather marketplace. Utilising AJAX to create a modern and sophisticated slide in-and-out approach to the each page load.
